Marketing translation
On Trendyol and Hepsiburada, a good Turkish product page is your best salesperson
Turkish buyers read product descriptions carefully before ordering; machine-translated titles and technical tables often put them off buying. Yeni İpekyolu (New Silk Road) translates product pages, catalogues, brochures and social media posts for Chinese sellers and brands: the language is natural and persuasive, technical values are correct, and everything follows the common format of Turkish e-commerce platforms.

What Turkish buyers look for on the page before adding to cart
Buyers look first at the title, specs, size chart and reviews
Online shopping is very widespread in Türkiye; local platforms such as Trendyol and Hepsiburada are the first choice for many consumers. Before ordering, buyers usually look at the title, technical values, size chart and reviews, and compare several sellers. Stilted or incorrect Turkish raises doubts about product quality and after-sales service, especially for overseas sellers. A clear, natural description reduces both the number of questions and returns caused by misunderstandings.
The same holds on the B2B side. Turkish buyers take the catalogues they collect at trade fairs back to the office and compare several suppliers with their colleagues. A Turkish catalogue with professional terminology and accurate values makes you stand out in that comparison.
SKU sheets and print files: two different working methods
E-commerce projects usually start with a platform template or SKU sheet. We first examine the common words and title structure for similar products on Turkish platforms, then set the term list. In translation, the translator conveys technical values and key features accurately, and a native Turkish editor makes the text natural and persuasive.
For print work, typesetting is done directly in the original design file, so a designer who doesn’t know Turkish can’t break lines incorrectly or lose special characters. A PDF proof is provided before delivery, and printing begins after your approval. Social media content can be planned monthly to keep a regular posting rhythm.
Why doesn’t a keyword-stuffed title read well in Turkish?
The most common problem is directly translating Chinese titles packed with stacked keywords; the Turkish title becomes long and confusing. The second is incorrect size, unit and material information; for example, Chinese sizes aren’t converted or fabric names are mistranslated. Some sellers also use exaggerated, absolute advertising claims, which may breach platform rules or advertising regulations in Türkiye.
In terms of communication culture, Turkish buyers value courtesy and quick responses. Answering questions in short, friendly Turkish builds more trust than copy-paste templates. We can help you prepare frequently used reply templates and translate buyers’ specific questions.
Have your size conversion chart and banned-words list ready
Yeni İpekyolu offers Chinese–Turkish translation for product pages, catalogues, brochures, social media content and marketing emails, and can typeset directly in design files. Product uploading and marketing work can be supported separately through our marketing execution service. For the suitability of advertising claims, platform rules and your legal adviser’s opinion are what count.
Please prepare the product sheet or platform template, product images and technical information, a description of your brand tone and, for print work, the design source files. If you have a size conversion chart or a banned-words list, share those as well.
Chinese brands selling on marketplaces, at trade fairs or on social media
Chinese sellers on Turkish marketplaces
Large numbers of product titles, features, technical details and size charts must be translated into Turkish quickly and accurately. Buyers on Turkish marketplaces carefully compare technical values and reviews, and incorrect size or material information can lead to returns. We can translate directly in bulk in your SKU sheets.
Factories exhibiting at trade fairs in Türkiye
Product catalogues, brochures and stand posters must be printed before the fair. Fair dates are fixed, so translation, typesetting and final proofreading of materials must be finished in advance. We can draw up a schedule working backwards from the fair date.
Brands running Turkish social media accounts
Instagram and LinkedIn posts and campaign copy need regular updates. Turkish users are very active on Instagram, while B2B customers use LinkedIn more. The tone and text length for each platform need to be handled separately.
Product pages, catalogues, social media and customer replies
E-commerce product details
Titles, key features, descriptions, technical values and keywords are translated to fit the platform’s fields. Each platform has different rules on title length, attribute fields and banned words. We fill in the template you provide column by column so it is ready to upload directly.
Catalogues and brochures
Typesetting can be done in the original design file and delivered print-ready. Because Turkish text is longer, font size and page layout must be adjusted during typesetting. Before delivery, we check that Turkish letters display correctly.
Social media content
Posts, hashtags, short video copy and ad text are prepared. Hashtags should use the words Turkish users actually search for, not translations of Chinese tags. We take into account the usage of similar local accounts.
Emails and press releases
Marketing emails, launch releases and dealer announcements are translated. Turkish business correspondence is generally polite and formal, with established patterns for greetings and closing lines. We adjust the tone to the recipient.
Customer reviews and replies to questions
We translate Turkish buyers’ reviews and questions into Chinese and help you write replies in Turkish. Quick, polite replies influence other buyers’ decisions. For reviews containing complaints, we suggest wording, but we don’t make commercial decisions on your behalf.

- 1
Sending materials
Send the product sheet, design file or link, and state the publishing channel. If it is a template downloaded from the platform, keep the column names and format. We first assess the volume and present a phased plan.
- 2
Tone and keywords
The brand tone is clarified, and frequently used expressions for similar products on Turkish platforms are examined. For example, we look at which words Turkish buyers use to search for the same product. These words are used consistently in titles and descriptions.
- 3
Translation and editing
After translation, a native Turkish editor makes the text natural. Technical values, units and sizes are checked one by one. Unclear attributes are gathered in a list and raised with you.
- 4
Delivery and upload
Delivered as a sheet in the platform template or as a print-ready file. For print work, a PDF proof is presented for your approval. New products can continue to be translated with the same term list.
Frequently asked questions
Do you also upload products to Trendyol?
We mainly handle content translation and deliver it in the platform template. Store setup and upload work can be supported separately through our marketing execution service. Confirm current conditions and rules for joining the platform with the platform itself.
What is the difference between marketing translation and transcreation?
Marketing translation conveys product information faithfully and makes the language appealing, while transcreation recreates slogans and advertising ideas. Marketing translation usually suits large numbers of product pages, and transcreation suits the main brand slogan.
Are there limits on advertising claims in product descriptions?
Türkiye generally has rules on misleading advertising, and platforms have their own rules too. We flag potentially risky absolute claims such as “the best” or “number one”. On compliance, platform rules and your legal adviser’s opinion are what count.
Can you translate thousands of SKUs?
Yes. Large volumes are usually delivered in phases, with best-selling products translated first. Repeated attributes and technical values are handled consistently using the term list and translation memory, gaining both consistency and time. If the budget is limited, AI pre-translation with human review can also be considered.
Should sizes and units be converted?
Türkiye uses the metric system, and European sizes are mostly preferred for clothing and shoes. If your sheet uses Chinese sizes, we recommend providing a conversion chart; we fill in values according to that chart, not by guesswork. Incorrect size conversion is one of the most common causes of returns.
Can you translate Turkish materials into Chinese for headquarters?
Yes. Competitor product pages, buyer reviews, dealer feedback and local advertising can be translated into Chinese to help headquarters understand the market. We can deliver them as summaries or full texts.
Do you also print brochures?
We handle translation and typesetting and deliver print-ready files. If printing in Istanbul is needed, it can be planned together with our printing and production service. Leave enough time before the fair for final proofreading and printing.
